Question 4 of 30: List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.

  1. Figure out what you want to do with your life then go to college.  Paying off loans and having nothing to show for it is not fun. at all.
  2. Once you figure it out.  Finish a degree.  It will open doors.
  3. Get HEALTHY!  It's harder to get the weight off once you put it on.
  4. Don't look for love.  It will find you when you least expect it <3
  5. Don't worry about what the people in high school think.  Most of them are going to have surprise pregnancies, crappy jobs, no jobs, or baby mama problems.  Most of them will regret the way they treated people because karma is a B.
  6. Learn how to budget and work on your credit score.  The future will be sooooo much better if you are responsible not reckless.
  7. Keep in touch with your friends.  The important ones will be there for you through everything.
  8. Apologize for how you have been acting to mom, tutu, and papa.  It's not worth it and you will regret the attitude you are giving them.  They are right about everything.
  9. Learn how to talk about your emotions, feelings, and everything else.  It might not be easy but it will help everything work out.
  10. Enjoy your life and live it.  Be yourself, not who you think people want you to be.  Dream big and go for it.

Question 3 of 30: Describe your relationship with your parents.

My parents got divorced when I was in 5th grade.  They have both remarried, so in a way I have 4 parents:

My Mom:
My mom and I have a very great relationship because I am just like her.  We've never really had too many problems (besides normal mother/daughter problems).  I would do anything for her and she would do anything for me.  My mom has made me who I am today.  She taught me kindness, respect, and how to love (among numerous other things).  I don't know where I would be without her.  I could write a novel about how much I love and appreciate my mom.

My Step-Dad:
My step-dad and I don't really have a relationship.  In fact, sometimes I can barely stand him......well he can barely stand himself. ba-dum-ching. He was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (the thing Michael J. Fox has).  He doesn't take care of himself and at night is a raging alcoholic. He only drinks Bud Ice.  Nothing else, no water, pop, milk.  Nothing.  In the past year he has changed so much.  If it wasn't for his PD, I don't think my mom would stay with him.  He falls all over the place when he has been drinking.  He has broken two pairs of glasses in the last month (among other things).  I feel bad for my mom since she has to deal with him.  I have tried for the past 13 years to get along with him but it's no use.  He needs to be the center of attention at all times and that just gets old.  I have 2 other siblings, If one of us isn't around he will talk bad about that person to the other two.  I can't stand it.

My Dad:
My dad and I have a. . . . . .what can I say?. . . . .We don't really have a relationship.  I only see him on Christmas Eve and other various times throughout the year.  He tells me to stop over whenever I see him, I just don't have time to.  He thinks I don't like him or his wife.  It's not that I don't like them, I just feel awkward around them.

My Step-Mom:
She is one weird lady.  She was the receptionist at my childhood dentist.  That is all I have to say.

Question 2 of 30: Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.

  1. I have a fear of being embarrassed/made fun of.  I don't know where this fear came from......probably my shyness and insecurities.  I was never picked on or bullied in school. Never really picked on my entire life.  I care way too much about what other people think (what if they think I'm stupid?!?!?).  When I'm talking to someone (or a group) I think of things to say, in response to what they are talking about or to start a conversation, but it never comes out because I'm scared.
  2. I have a fear of thunderstorms.  Most people love to sit outside and watch storms.  Some people have an overwhelming fear that they will die during a storm.  I am the president of the latter group.  When I was little and it would storm, I would hide.  I would wrap myself up in a blanket, sleep under my sister or brother's beds, and/or cry.  When I was three I told my mom this elaborate story about how I was bigger, like an adult, and lightning came in through my window and hit me.  I was in a different house and was wearing old time clothes.  My mom told me how many details I could tell her of this event and how surprised she was since I was only three.  I totally believe in reincarnation.  I think I have an old soul and this kind of proves it.
  3. I have a fear of being alone for the rest of my life.  I've only been in one serious relationship in the whole 26 years I've been alive.  I am currently in it.  I was worried for a while, thinking I would never find someone that could love me.  I didn't want to be a spinster or old maid.  I am so shy and most guys couldn't get past it.  Stevan did <3 We may not be perfect but I think we were made for each other.

Hello. It's been a while :)

Life has been hectic lately.........

drastic changes at work.

helping with my sister's kids.

trying to work on my relationship and it's issues.

trying to work on myself and my issues.

trying to work on my appearance.

My plate has been pretty full and I'm trying to balance it all without losing anything.  I wish there were more hours in a day because I feel like I never get to do everything I want to.  This blog has been put on the back burner while I figured out other things going on in my life.  I'm ready to start sharing things again.

 FOR REAL THIS TIME.

Jinx.

This weekend the weather was b-e-a-utiful.  So why was it jinxed?!?!? Because I said what I wanted to do.

Friday night plans went close to how I wanted them. Instead of just my boyfriend and I going out to dinner, we went with our best friends. It was nice because we rarely get to hang out.  We used to be together all of the time. It's because of them that Stevan and I started dating.  So I got my sirloin and got to hang out with friends. It was a good night.

The good ole' days. Dressed as ABBA of course ;)

Then Saturday comes and I'm excited to go out. It's suppose to be the four of us again :)  I sleep in til noon (I haven't done that in FOREVER) since we will probably be out late.  I spend most of the day getting ready: doing a mani/pedi at home, doing my hair and make up, and picking out what I want to wear. I know when I go to my boyfriend's house not to be completely ready because when I'm completely ready we end up staying in. We grab chipotle for dinner and I start watching despicable me totally not thinking I will be watching the whole thing.  The always time conscious Stevan waits for about 2 hours after beatlefest starts to take a shower. I don't hear anything, no call or text, from our friends.  I didn't specify what time I wanted to go but at this point its just ridiculous.  So I don't get to go to beatlefest and I get grumpy.  I'm done making plans. I'm gonna be a "play it by ear" girl. Disappointment is something I have become used to.

They must have written this about me.

It's a funny thing.  Anytime I really want to do something, plans seem to fall through. I guess I need to grow a pair and start going places by myself.  The only problem is I'm afraid to go to places by myself. Life around Akron isn't exciting when the people you hang out with never want to do anything or say they want to do it up until its time to go. Everyone around me is a plan breaker and that is one of my biggest pet peeves.  I hate it.  I need to find new friends.  But that is something very hard for a shy girl to do.

The weekend ended up with a pretty good Sunday.  After spending a good part of Saturday night being the biggest grump ever and extremely cold to my boyfriend (sorry babe), I was over it.  I go home just to get some space from the situation.  My mom, brother, and I start our annual fall tradition of watching Paranormal State.  It's one of our favorite shows :)  Chip, Elaine, and Father Bob are our favorites.  We just hang out and do nothing.  It was great.  My sister and her family come over to visit. I love when I get to see my little baby doll.  Overall, Sunday was great.

She makes everything better <3

Finally, An amazing weekend :)

This weekend is going to be great, hopefully.  The weather is suppose to be SUNNY and in the high 70's/low 80's.  It will be the first nice weekend we've had in a while......*ahem* without rain.  (hopefully I didn't just jinx it)

Tonight my love, Stevan, is taking me to dinner at Texas Road House.  I don't know why, but I love steak now.  I went for like 10-15 years not eating it.  I don't know what changed in me.  Stevan made fun of me last time we went because I text my sister to see what kind of steak I should order.  If you read my previous post, I mentioned how close my family is, especially my siblings and I.  My sister knows me.  She knows what I like and don't like.  Since steak isn't my "norm,"  I just needed to know what kind I would like the most.  Stevan didn't understand this at all.

*Om nom nom* Sirloin Steak.

Tomorrow night we are going to the Rubber City Beatlefest at the Akron Civic Theater.  It is going to have Beatles tribute bands, memorabilia vendors, and is promising a "Beatlemania" experience.  If it is everything it is hyped up to be, it will be AWESOME!  I love the Beatles and wish I could've experienced the real "Beatlemania" because god knows I would've been one of the screaming fans.

My Guys <3  aka The Beatles

I love technology and love my life, but man! I would've loved to grow up during that time.  I love the fashion, the culture, and ESPECIALLY the music!  If I could be my age now in that time, I would die from happiness.  You have no idea.

Sunday is promising to be a very relaxed, chill day.  I have no plans as of yet and am super happy about that.  With my little baby doll being born recently, I have been busy and have had no time for myself or anything.  So a day with nothing to do sounds perfect to me.  Maybe I will watch a scary movie, eat pumpkin flavored something, and enjoy the lovely fall smell that is developing outside.  Or maybe I will go to a park :)Thinking about that is going to get me through these last couple of hours at work.
Enjoy your weekend.  I know I will be enjoying mine :)

Why I LOVE Fall! Reason #3:

Hocus Pocus.

It's one of my favorite movies of all time.  I love watching it during this time of year.

Boooooooooooooooooooook :)

"Just. Like. Thisssssssssssssss."

"Remember, Remember, Remember Winnie, Remember."

"Dead man's toe."

"Masssttteeeerrrr."

I could write about Hocus Pocus for days:)
